Almanac called for snow
 emember
six short months ago when the “snowstorm of the century”
buried the east coast with three feet of snow? Well, it came as no
surprise for Sandi Sampaio Duncan ’98, managing editor
of the Farmers’ Almanac, since her publication correctly
predicted the storm.
The almanac uses a top secret mathematcial formula based on sunspots,
moon phases, long-term cycles and averages to predict weather patterns.
As for this coming winter, Sandi says (off the record) the Farmers’
Almanac is predicting “an old-fashioned winter—a lot
of snow and cold for the entire nation.” She says if you want
the full perdiction you’ll have to pick up the almanac, which
goes on sale August 27th.  |
